RCIA/RCIC: Would you like to become Catholic?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and Rite of Christian
Initiation of Children (RCIC) is a process for initiating adults and
children of Catechetical age into full communion with the Catholic Church.
This formation process aims at bringing adult and youth conversion and
faith to maturity, in response to God's initiative and in union with the
church.
Who Could Join RCIA? Individuals who have not been baptized, not catholic,
baptized catholic but didn't receive Holy Communion or Confirmation, and
adults who want to deepen their faith in Christ and His Church.
Who Could Join RCIC? Children who are not baptized as infants or who are
baptized but have not received any formal catechesis, which have attained
the use of reason (age 7+) and are of catechetical age.
